The Asia-Pacific Rights and Justice Initiative: Regional Assessment

June 17, 2015

This report presents the assessment findings of the Asia-Pacific Rights and Justice Initiative (AP-A2J) conducted over April and May 2009. The assessment is part of a UNDP effort to respond to one of the recommendations of the global Democratic Governance Thematic Trust Fund 2008 Evaluation that highlighted the need for UNDP HQ, regional and country offices, and donors to learn more from successful and unsuccessful projects.

The main objectives of the assessment were: a) to identify, analyze and document the results and impact of the project; b) to analyze the sustainability of its innovations and the degree of government- or donor-funded up scaling or replication; c) to channel the lessons of this assessment into regional programming and policy options; and d) to conceptualize future A2J programming and policy development.
