Targeted Interventions against Hunger: A Case for Preschool and School Feeding

This hunger briefing paper is the first in a series of Hunger Briefing papers, prepared for the Asia Pacific Hunger Campaign. The Hunger Campaign, based on a seven point coalition of process, partnership and policy is a collaborative initiative of the United Nations Development Programme Regional Centre in Colombo (UNDP RCC) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (FAO-RAP). This briefing paper discusses the urgent need for targeted interventions, such as school feeding programmes, in combating hunger in the Asia Pacific region.
