Capacity 2015 Asia Strategy

Monitoring and Evaluation Towards the MDGs

Cap2015 Asia will establish participatory monitoring and evaluation (M&E), which will complement Cap2015’s global strategy. The regional strategy’s participatory approach to M&E will empower local and national actors, and will serve as a critical tool in providing feedback on programme implementation and partnership activities including WSSD and MDG outcomes. It will likewise generate valuable experiences and lessons learned.

Opportunities for Partnerships: What can Cap2015 Asia Offer

Cap2015 Asia’s current approach is to provide substantive advisory support to countries in developing capacity development programmes that address capacity development needs, sharing the wealth of information and lessons from Capacity 21, and providing linkages to other financing sources. Cap2015 Asia currently provides modest preparatory assistance support to a few countries in the region to develop relevant capacity development programmes, including strengthening capacities of communities, businesses and local governments for joint partnerships in local sustainable development planning and management; strengthening policy and regulatory frameworks, and enhancing cross-sectoral synergies at national and local levels for effective sustainable development planning and implementation etc.
